About Me

I'm Alexander Martin, a developer with a strong foundation in computer science and a passion for building high-performance, visually compelling software. I began coding at a young age, and that early curiosity has evolved into a focused interest in computer graphics, game engine development, and high-performance computing.

Currently, I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics at Oregon State University, graduating in June 2026. Based in Redmond, Washington, I bring a versatile skill set that spans low-level systems programming, full-stack web development, and advanced graphics technologies.

My Journey

My introduction to programming began at an early age, driven by a deep curiosity and a desire to build and understand complex systems. What started as informal experimentation quickly developed into a focused interest in the technical and creative dimensions of software engineering.

Over the course of my academic studies and independent projects, I’ve worked extensively with low-level graphics APIs such as Vulkan, and have built full-stack web applications that address real-world needs. This breadth of experience has equipped me with a versatile and adaptive skill set, enabling me to approach technical challenges from multiple perspectives and deliver robust, efficient solutions.

What I Do

I focus on computer graphics development and high-performance computing, combining mathematical precision with creative vision to create engaging visual experiences. My work spans from building 3D game engines with modern APIs to developing full-stack web applications that serve real-world needs.

Core Competencies:

My Approach

I believe that effective software development requires both technical depth and contextual awareness. Whether I’m designing a 3D rendering engine or building a scalable web application, I prioritize:

My academic foundation in computer science and mathematics gives me the analytical tools to approach problems methodically, while my hands-on experience fuels creative, practical solutions.

Beyond the Code

Outside of technical work, I’m actively involved in leadership and community service through Scouting America. As an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of Scouting’s National Honor Society, I’ve served as a Program Leader and staffed key roles in national initiatives such as the National Leadership Seminar and National Jamboree. These roles have allowed me to mentor and lead over 10,000 participants nationwide, strengthening my skills in project management, team coordination, and strategic planning.

Let's Connect

I’m always open to new opportunities and collaborations. If you're working on a project involving computer graphics, high-performance computing, or web development—or simply want to connect—I’d be glad to hear from you.
